Many historic sites in this “green and serene” area of the Aveyron, including several medieval castles, beautiful unspoilt villages and the village of Conques, a must-see UNESCO Heritage Site and considered one of the great treasures of France.  Lots to see and do including wine tasting, horseback riding, kayaking, canoeing, sightseeing, museums, Roquefort cheese caves, Millau Viaduct (highest bridge in the world) and golf.  There are many walking paths and hiking trails nearby. Nearest airports are Rodez-Marcillac, Brive (Dordogne), Montpellier, Limoges and Toulouse International.  A short 1 hour flight from Paris.  Prices range from 400 – 900 Euros per week.

La Maisonette features a south facing stone terrace with views of the granite cliffs and mountains.  The gorgeous stone terrace is outfitted with a charming bistro table, umbrella, sun loungers, outdoor shower and Weber barbecue.  It is perfect for alfresco meals or enjoying a glass of local wine and listening to the peaceful sounds of nature.

La Maisonette has stone fireplace with log stove, gorgeous interior stone walls and beam ceilings.  New quality kitchen with solid oak cabinets, stone countertop, Gorenje refrigerator and vintage style gas hob with dining table.  The living room features double sofa bed, coffee table, side table, fireplace, writing desk, DVD and stereo/CD player.The well-appointed bedroom is spacious and features king bed with wood headboard, bedside tables, pretty dresser, antique armoire and occasional chair.   The large bathroom has a claw and foot bathtub, pedestal sink and old fashioned fittings.

L’Ecole Ancienne exudes character and charm and was formerly the hamlet’s schoolhouse. The restored cottage has retained original features such as ancient wood floors, beautiful stone fireplace, hand plastered walls, wood beams and hand carved ancient front door.

The renovated kitchen has quality painted oak cabinets, stone countertops, vintage style gas hob, porcelain sink and integrated dishwasher and refrigerator.  The dining area has antique dining table and chairs and buffet.  The living area features comfortable sofa, coffee table, antique rocking chair, fireplace, TV and stereo.  The bedroom features queen size bed with vintage iron bed frame, bedside tables, cute dresser, antique trunk, closet and writing desk.  The ensuite bathroom features antique door, porcelain sink fitted into wood cabinet, antique mirror, and shower with beautiful old world tile and old fashioned fittings.

Kitchen leads out to wood terrace which is outfitted with charming bistro table, umbrella, sun loungers, outdoor shower and Weber barbecue. Terrace offers sound of water from below and views of mountains and Lot Valley.
